Playing conditions during Level 2 Lockdown Following Tennis NZ guidelines tennis is still only available for members. The clubrooms will be closed (but toilets can be accessed).
At Alert Level 2, you can get together with friends and whānau but gatherings are limited in size. At Alert Level 2, you can travel to other regions that are at Alert Level 1 or 2 to visit friends or whānau or attend a social gathering. Meeting friends and whānau at Alert Level 2.
This is because Auckland is still in level 4 lockdown and Tennis NZ wants the whole country to be in level 2 for at least a week before any tournaments, so players have time to prepare.

Alert Level 3 update as at 31st August 2021 (guidance Tennis New Zealand) Tennis is permitted at Level 3, in a safe controlled environment. Play is only permitted with those inside your household bubble. You should scan in, stay at least 2m away from those outside your bubble, and sanitise your hands on entry and exit to the courts.
Sport New Zealand has released new information about sport and recreation during alert level 3, with the nationwide level 4 lockdown due to end on Monday 11.59pm next week.
